Stay In Our Quirky Mill!

Set on the banks of the River Isle, Ashford Mills will simply take your breath away. Find tranquillity or adventure in this five-acre working small-holding: wander the gardens among the chickens and sheep, live sustainably on our fresh eggs and homegrown veg or canoe, and wild swim in the River Isle. National Trusts properties and cider mills are a stone’s throw.

The Mill

The Mill £270 per night

The historic mill is a 400-year-old beautiful building that is full of quirks and character. It sleeps x6 comfortably with three double bedroom areas. Additional beds can be made up if required. Our guests range from couples seeking a romantic getaway right up to large groups of friends and family looking to share time in a convivial environment.

The internal structure has been kept as it would have been in the 16th century. There is no central heating, the floors are open and the space enjoys natural air conditioning.

Ground Floor Level: A simple kitchen is included, fitted with all essentials including hob, oven, fridge, crockery, and cutlery. This floor also includes a separate double bedroom, bath and compost WC.

First Floor: The first floor has one double bed, a WC, shower, sink & an 'Esse wood-burner' single stove, to help keep you warm on those colder nights.

The Attic: We have one king-size bed which can be transformed into a twin should you require.

Please also note: The first-floor ceiling is approx 5 ft 5 inches while the attic has 2 beams that will require you to duck under. The stairs are also fairly steep.

The Wheelhouse

The Wheelhouse £80 per night

Our version of a Shepherds Hut. The Wheelhouse is a separate little annex attached to the gable end of the Mill next to the pond.

What's Inside: One double bed, rolltop bath, sink and WC. Also a camping stove with a kettle and a few pots and pans for cooking. It's the perfect glamping experience: have a bath looking out into the garden, sit out next to the pond, and wake up with the birds and sheep on your doorstep.
